AT KLEIDONIA BRIDGE

Explore the spectacular canyon of Epirus through a fascinating hiking route, which crosses two historical stone bridges and has the view of a legendary river. Hike through the gorge of Voidomatis, following the enthralling path from the bridge of Aristi to the Kleidonia bridge.

The historic Stone Bridge of Kleidonia was built in 1853. It is an easy route, with small height deviations. The distance is 6 km., and requires approximately 2 to 2.5 hours of steady walking. The scenery that unfolds is a unique wealth of unspoilt nature! Half way you will reach the abandoned monastery of Holly Anargyroi, built in 1658, to admire the church of the Temple, where wall paintings have survived throughout the years.
